Bishkek, April 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . The first march of electric vehicles (electric cars, eco bikes) will be held in Bishkek on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office reported.
The Bishkek Mayor’s Office continues its comprehensive work to protect the environment and combat smog. According to researches, motor transport is the most intensive source of environmental pollution.
The total volume of emissions reaches 180 thousand tons annually. In this regard, the Mayor’s Office carries out comprehensive work to protect the environment of the city, one of the directions is the introduction of eco-friendly and alternative types of cars into the system of urban transport.
For the safety of citizens, drivers will be accompanied by five cars of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs and two ambulances.
"The march will be held with the support of the Ecobike company - salon of electric transport in Kyrgyzstan, which promotes the idea of electric transport, in particular eco bikes,” the report said.
