Kyrgyz chess player wins gold at tournament in Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Aug.20, 2019. /Kabar/. Athlete from Kyrgyzstan won the first place at Open National Active Chess Tournament in Kazakhstan, chess-results.com reported.

The competition was held in Taraz, where representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took part.

The national team has one gold and one silver medal.

Yerasyl Maratbekov performed among children, “C” section. He scored 7.5 points in nine rounds. In addition, Mikhail Markov won another award for the country; he scored 7 points in the adult category in “A” section.
