Kyrgyz chess players successfully perform at championship in Uzbekistan

Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2018. /Kabar/. Chess player from Kyrgyzstan Aijan Syezdbekova won the silver at the West Asian Junior Championships in Uzbekistan, the Federation of the sport reported.

The 8-year-old player performed in classical chess and scored 6.5 points, which allowed her to move to the second position of the podium. She also took part in a blitz competition, where she won the gold medal in the nine rounds.

In addition, in the blitz, Nursultan Sakibayev ranked second in the 14 age group, Begimai Zairbek kyzy (under 18 years old) managed to win the third place.
