Bishkek, Apr. 12, 2020 / Kabar /. The handover ceremony of humanitarian aid from Kyrgyz-Chinese Altynken gold mining enterprise to the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic to combat coronavirus infection was held in Bishkek on Sunday, the press service of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event was attended by Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Ismailova, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Sabirzhan Abdikarimov, Ambassador of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen, management of Altynken LLC and Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC.
The humanitarian aid consists of: medical glasses - 5,000 pieces, gloves - 25,000 pairs, protective suits - 10,000 sets, a portable thermometer - 100 pieces, a portable thermal imager - 50 pieces.
Ismailova expressed great gratitude on behalf of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to the friendly people of the People's Republic of China and the leadership of Altynken LLC for invaluable assistance in combating the spread of coronavirus infection in the republic.
“Today, workers in the healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan more than ever need personal protective equipment, they are at the forefront, right next to sick citizens. The assistance provided to the Ministry of Health in the amount of 200 thousand US dollars in the form of medical glasses, gloves, protective suits, as well as thermometers and thermal imagers is timely! We express our sincere gratitude. The Kyrgyz government also appreciates the active contribution of Altynken LLC to the country's social and economic development,” said the vice prime minister.
She expressed gratitude to Ambassador Du Dewen for her personal and active participation in resolving issues related to the delivery of humanitarian cargo.
The Chinese ambassador, in turn, noted that the Chinese side will provide its assistance and support in the joint fight against coronavirus infection.
