Kyrgyz-Chinese border to be closed from 3 to 5 April

Bishkek, March 31, 2021 / Kabar /. The border of Kyrgyzstan with China will be temporarily closed, the Public Relations and Media Department of the Border Guard Service of Kyrgyzstan said.

At the initiative of the Chinese side, in connection with the celebration of Qingming, a traditional Chinese holiday of remembrance of the dead, the Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border will be temporarily closed from 3 to 5 April 2021 for movement of goods.

The passage of vehicles and goods will resume on April 6, 2021.

The Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints operate according to a special algorithm that provides only for the movement of goods from China to Kyrgyzstan.
