Kyrgyz-Chinese border to be temporarily closed

Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2021. / Kabar /. The Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border will be temporarily closed from October 1 to 7, the press service of the State Border Service of the State Committee for National Security reported.

At the initiative of the Chinese side, in connection with the celebration of the National Day (Formation Day of the People's Republic of China) the Torugart and Irkeshtam checkpoints will be temporarily closed for the movement of vehicles and goods.

The checkpoints will resume functioning on October 8 in accordance with a special algorithm that provides only for the movement of vehicles and goods from China to Kyrgyzstan.
