Kyrgyz-Chinese border to be temporarily closed

Bishkek, June 1, 2022. /Kabar/. In connection with the celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival in the People's Republic of China, the Torugart-Avtodorozhnyi and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints, located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese section of the state border will be temporarily closed on June 3-5 inclusive.

The Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported that the closure takes place at the initiative of the Chinese side. The passage of vehicles and cargo will be resumed on June 6.

Torugart-Avtodorozhnyi and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoints operate under a special algorithm, which provides only for the movement of goods from China to Kyrgyzstan.
