Kyrgyz citizens test positive for COVID-19 after returning from Russia's Yekaterinburg

Bishkek, June 6, 2020. /Kabar/. Among Kyrgyz citizens who arrived in Osh from Yekaterinburg (Russia), 8 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection have been revealed, Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov said during a briefing.

According to him, a total of 132 compatriots returned to their homeland. All of them were taken under observation for 3 days.

"After all necessary procedures the coronavirus infection was confirmed in 8 citizens. All of them are now receiving appropriate treatment," he said.

The mayor also noted that another flight from Novosibirsk to Osh with citizens of Kyrgyzstan on board is expected.

Kyrgyzstan confirmed on Saturday 38 new cases of coronavirus infection, raising the total to 1,974.

389 cases of them are medical workers' contamination.

1,360 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals, including 273 medics.

Novel coronavirus cliamed 22 lives.
