Bishkek, Oct. 27, 2022. /Kabar/. Collectible coin of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan "Thank you for life!" took third place in the prestigious international competition "Coin Constellation-2022".
The Kyrgyz coin was presented in the Coin of the Year nomination.
The "Coin Constellation" is the only international competition of commemorative coins, which is held on the territory of the CIS.
The winners are determined by a professional jury, consisting of specialists from major museums, auction houses, numismatic societies and specialized publications about coins, the press service of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
In total, this year's competition included nine main nominations: Unique Concept, Best Artistic Solution, Original Technology, Best Circulation Coin, Coin Classic, Souvenir Coin, Silver Coin of the Year, Gold Coin of the Year, Coin of the Year.
The collectible coin "Thank you for life!" was put into circulation on December 1, 2021 as a token of gratitude to healthcare workers, law enforcement agencies, volunteers and all those who work to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
The main plot of the front side of the copper-nickel coin is the images of representatives of various professions and a volunteer who, with a threat to life, selflessly resist the coronavirus pandemic. At the top of the coin there is a stylized image of dew and sunrise, symbolizing awakening nature, dawn and new life.
The collectible coin was issued with a circulation of 3,000 copies. The sale price is 880 soms.
