In the period from June 8 to 9, 2022, Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Bekbolotov made a working visit to Turkiye in order to participate in the active phase of the international military exercise "Efes-2022", the press service of the ministry reported.
During the period of bilateral military cooperation, the military contingent of the Kyrgyz Republic for the first time took part in large-scale international military exercises in Turkiye, in which special units of 37 states were involved, which was another step towards strengthening ties with the Turkish defense department.
The military contingent of the Kyrgyz Republic worked out training issues with the help of computer simulation for 45 days and practically carried out actions as part of a multinational group of troops.
During the visit, the minister of defense of the Kyrgyz Republic visited an exhibition of modern products of the Turkish military-industrial complex, held working meetings with Minister of National Defense of Turkiye Hulusi Akar and Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov to discuss promising projects for further military cooperation.
