Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2023 / Kabar/. In the period from February 22 to 25, 2023, the military delegation of Kyrgyzstan, headed by Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the international exhibition of arms and military equipment IDEX-2023 in Abu Dhabi.
At the exhibition, Baktybek Bekbolotov got acquainted with the latest designs and developments of leading international manufacturers in the defense industry.
Also during the visit, the head of the defense department met with Minister of State for Defense of the UAE, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Bawardi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere, prospects for cooperation between defense departments and noted that this visit would give impetus to the development of military cooperation between the two countries.
It should be noted that this is the first visit and meeting of the military leadership in the history of relations between the two countries.
IDEX is the largest exhibition on public security and armaments in the Middle East, which demonstrates the latest technologies and samples for land, sea, air and space applications. The exhibition is held every two years in Abu Dhabi.
