Kyrgyz delegation defends national report in UN Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Geneva

Bishkek, Apr. 27. 2018. / Kabar /. In Geneva on April 24-25, the Kyrgyz delegation defended the national report in the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The delegation included: Director of the State Agency for Local Government and Ethnic Relations B. Saliyev, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations in Geneva D. Mukashev, Judge of the Supreme Court S. Kamchybekov, Representative of the Prosecutor General B. Ketirenov, employee of the Government Office K. Abdyrakhmanov and Foreign Ministry Adviser E. Turgunaliev.

During this event, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic provided detailed information on the country's policy in such areas as inter-ethnic relations, judicial and law enforcement reform, compliance by Kyrgyzstan with the provisions of the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and other issues.

Following the results of protection of the national report, the Committee will make its recommendations on improving the situation in this area, which will be considered by the state for effective implementation.
