Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2017 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz delegation is taking part in the 22nd session of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly in Chengdu, China, which is held on September 11-16, the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Kyrgyz delegation led by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Almaz Usenov.
During the 22nd session of the UNWTO General Assembly the Kyrgyz delegation also participated in the work of the Regional Commission for Europe, which includes Kyrgyzstan.
Among the main issues which were discussed during the session was the information on the implementation of the general program of work for 2016-2017, the financial and budgetary issues of the Organization for 2018-2019 as well as candidatures to the structural institutes of the Organization.
Kyrgyzstan has been a full member of UNWTO since 1994, and also participates in the work of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization for the first time since its accession.
