Kyrgyz delegation participates in the 108th ILO session in Geneva

Bishkek, June 11, 2019. / Kabar /. The 108th anniversary session of the International Labor Organization (ILO) has begun its work in Geneva on June 10, 2019 and will last until June 21, 2019.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, a delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic takes part in the jubilee session. In accordance with the ILO rules, the delegation of our country consists of representatives of the government, the national confederation of employers and the federation of trade unions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

About 5 thousand representatives from 187 countries, leading international and non-governmental organizations of the world take part in this session.

The main theme of the session will be the report of the Global Commission on the future of the world of work.

Following the session, it is planned to adopt a core document - the Declaration on the Centenary of the International Labor Organization, the main goal of which is to reflect the achievements of the first hundred years of the organization’s existence and to define the objectives for the next second century to promote sustainable economic growth and decent work for all around the world.
