Bishkek, March 4, 2022 / Kabar /. The international tourism exhibition "Travel Show Budapest 2022" has started in Budapest, Hungary, the Department of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Over the past four decades, this international exhibition has remained one of the leading tourism fairs not only in Hungary, but throughout the European Union.
The exhibition is attended by a delegation from Kyrgyzstan, consisting of representatives represented by Deputy Minister - Director of the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Shatmanov, tour operators certified by Travelife Partner, as well as Helvetas employees.
Pétera Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, delivered an official speech at the opening ceremony of the 44th HUNGEXPO tourism exhibition in Budapest.
The participation of the delegation from Kyrgyzstan was made possible thanks to the European Union SWITCH-Asia Greentour Kyrgyzstan project implemented by Helvetas in partnership with KATO, KATHOS and ECEAT, as well as the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest, who kindly provided a stand and logistical support.
Participation in this event will demonstrate the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic to partners from Europe and other continents, as well as establish new business relationships, promote various tourist destinations, establish contacts, and share experience and best practices.
It should be noted that the stand of Kyrgyzstan was visited by officials, including the ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Greece, the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Egypt, and others.
