Bishkek, May 1, 2024. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz delegation is participating in the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue on the theme “Dialogue for Peace and Global Security: Cooperation and Interconnectivity,” which is being held in Baku (Azerbaijan).
The event is attended by 700 high-ranking guests from more than 100 countries, including representatives of 28 international organizations and ministries of culture from 60 countries. The delegation of Kyrgyzstan includes Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Chyngyz Esengul uulu, Director of Kyrgyz National Kabar News Agency Mederbek Shermetaliev, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to France Sadyk Sher-Niyaz, Mufti Abdulaziz Zakirov, Director of the Kyrgyz National Manas Theater Aziz Biimyrza uulu, Secretary General of the TURKSOY Organization Sultan Raev and Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan in partnership with international organizations, including the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), UNESCO, ISESCO. Its main objective is to consolidate the role of the Baku Process as an important international platform for promoting intercultural cooperation and dialogue.
At the plenary sessions and panel discussions of the forum, its participants will discuss a number of current global issues related to dialogue and cooperation of civilizations with the aim of introducing the values of coexistence and peace in opposition to hatred.
In addition, cultural events, including concerts, festivals and artistic performances, will be organized to highlight and celebrate the diversity of cultures and promote a spirit of cooperation and understanding.
