Kyrgyz delegation takes part in international conference on countering COVID-19 in St. Petersburg

Since December 9, the Kyrgyz delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Health Uluk-Bek Bekturganov has been taking part in the II international scientific and practical conference on countering new coronavirus infection and other infectious diseases, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.

This scientific and practical conference is held in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation) and is organized by the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, St. Petersburg Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology and Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute "Microb".

According to the organizers, during the conference, it is planned to discuss the following issues: epidemiology of a new coronavirus infection, projections and models, anti-epidemic measures, response, treatment; experience of international cooperation in the fight against COVID-19; molecular genetic characteristics of SARS-CoV-2, etc.
