Kyrgyz delegation takes part in int’l conference on Central and South Asia in Tashkent

Tashkent, July 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan’s delegation, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers-Minister of Economy and France Akylbek Zhaparov, is taking part in the opening ceremony of the High-Level International Conference "Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities".

The press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan reported that the delegation includes Deputy Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security Abdyvakhap Nurbayev and Kyrgyz Ambassador to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov.

The opening ceremony is attended by Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Pakistan Ashraf Ghani, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, foreign ministers of Central Asian countries, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Asian countries.

Heads of such international organizations as the UN, CIS, ECO, ECCAS, SCO, CICA, EU, UNESCO are also taking part in the international conference.

The purpose of the High-Level International Conference is to form a political and expert platform for multilateral discussion of the model of mutually beneficial strategic connection "Central Asia - South Asia" in the transport and logistics, energy, trade, manufacturing, investment, technological, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
