Bishkek, April 6, 2022 / Kabar /. From March 31 to April 1, the Kyrgyz delegation headed by Ambassador to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev took part in the opening of the exhibition "Hatay Expo 2022" on the theme "Garden of Civilizations" organized by the mayor's office of Hatay.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the event featured "Gardens" (decorated with plants) and pavilions of city halls from more than 15 provinces of Turkey and 13 foreign countries, including from Germany, China, Italy, South Korea, Nepal, Philippines, etc.
Mayor of Hatay Lutfi Savas, head of the International Association of Horticultural Producers Bernard Ooster and chairman of the Republican People's Party of Turkey Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu spoke at the opening of the exhibition.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by its pavilion, in which a Kyrgyz yurt was installed and items of Kyrgyz folk culture and life were presented, products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan, as well as brochures and booklets about the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of participation in the exhibition on March 31 this year the Kyrgyz delegation headed by Ambassador Omuraliev met with Mayor of Hatay L. Savash. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between the cities of Kara-Balta and Hatay, which are sister cities, as well as establishing interaction between the said Turkish city and the city of Kyzyl-Kiya.
