Bishkek, Jan.23, 2020. /Kabar/. As part of participation in the Second Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Development Forum in Turkey’s Karaman city, the Kyrgyz delegation, led by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, visited 11 Turkish industrial enterprises in Karaman and the similarly named Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ), the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Thursday.
The Kyrgyz delegation included Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Committee on Budget and Finance Emil Toktoshev and Chui Oblast Governor Altynbek Namazaliyev and entrepreneurs.
During the event, Kyrgyz entrepreneurs were able to get acquainted with producers of food and processing industry, agriculture, energy, construction, etc. They held B2B meetings with the Turkish counterparts.
After the visit to the OIZ, a meeting was held with the management and other interested entrepreneurs of the mentioned industrial zone, which was attended by companies from various fields.
The sides exchanged views on business conditions in Kyrgyzstan. Ambassador Omuraliyev, MP Toktoshev, Governor Namazaliyev as well as Kyrgyz and Turkish entrepreneurs, working in Kyrgyzstan, answered the questions of the business community representatives, and told about their experience and advantages of doing business in Kyrgyzstan.
Chairman of the Kyrgyz Association of Tour Operators Myrzabekov invited the Turkish entrepreneurs to Kyrgyzstan.
At the meeting, the Turkish side was represented by Deputy of the Turkish Great National Assembly Rejep Sheker, Chairman of the Board of Karaman OIZ Esat Shen and CEO of Megamedia LTD, operating in Kyrgyzstan Muammer Akkaya, who also called for investment in the Kyrgyz economy and building trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Konmersan company in the field of processing marble, Slava company producing dairy products and Islersan producing water heaters on solar energy expressed interest in opening production sites in the Kyrgyz Republic, and expressed a desire to visit the republic for study and detailed talks.
