Bishkek, March 15, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Moldogaziev received Ambassador of Spain to Kyrgyzstan Jorge Urbiola Lopez de Montenegro on the occasion of his presentation of copies of credentials.
Moldogaziev congratulated the Spanish ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope for active work to further strengthen bilateral relations, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries were discussed in a constructive atmosphere. The mutual intention to develop the political dialogue through the organization of visits at the level of foreign ministers and the first round of inter-ministerial consultations was confirmed. Particular attention was paid to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Spain in 2022 through joint activities.
The deputy foreign minister and the ambassador noted an importance of increasing economic, investment and energy cooperation, with an emphasis on the implementation of joint projects. In addition, taking into account the tourism opportunities of the two countries, the sides expressed their intention to emphasize cooperation in this direction.
Special attention was also paid to the situation in the region.
