Kyrgyz Deputy FM meets with chief adviser to President of Italy on foreign policy

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2023. /Kabar/. Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Moldogaziev held meetings with Chief Adviser to the President of Italy on Foreign Policy Fabio Cassese and Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy Edmondo Chirielli

The meetings took place within the framework of Moldogaziev's participation in the work of the Seventh High-Level Conference European Union - Central Asia in Rome.

An exchange of views took place on the situation in the world, and key issues on the global and regional agendas were discussed.

During the meetings, a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Italian bilateral and multilateral cooperation was discussed. Particular attention is paid to the discussion of the current state and prospects for the further development of political, trade, economic, investment, scientific and cultural interaction between the two countries. The mutual intention to expand the political dialogue by organizing mutual visits at high and highest levels in 2023-2024 was confirmed.

Following the meetings of Moldogaziev with the Italian side, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of the leadership of the Italian Foreign Ministry to Kyrgyzstan in the spring of 2023 and holding political consultations in the city of Bishkek. The parties noted that the successful holding of political consultations in Bishkek will be an important part of the preparatory work for organizing mutual visits at the highest level.
