On the sidelines of the 16th meeting of senior officials of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue in Astana, a bilateral meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev and Special Representative of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Central Asian countries, Ambassador Masaki Ikegami.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the parties exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, compared notes on the implementation of agreements following the visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan, and also discussed joint projects.
The politicians also discussed issues of holding high-level events within the framework of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue, as well as the upcoming meeting of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov with Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on current regional and international issues on the agenda.
