Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2018. /Kabar/. A bilateral meeting of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Kursan Asanov with Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kyrgyz Republic Donald Lu took place on Wednesday in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, issues related to further strengthening of cooperation in the fight against crime, ensuring public order were discussed, and the formation of a joint working group on the exchange of experience in the field of cyber security and the fight against extremism and terrorism was considered.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that the foreign policy initiative, as well as cooperation with diplomatic missions is possible in accordance with the national legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Interactions of State Bodies in the Sphere of Foreign Policy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has the opportunity to cooperate with foreign missions in coordination with the authorized body of the Kyrgyz Republic MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in compliance with certain interaction procedures. In this regard, this issue will be considered as soon as possible.
At the end of the meeting, Asanov expressed confidence that the friendly relations that had existed for many years would serve to strengthen and develop the bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was held in a very warm, friendly atmosphere, in the spirit of mutual understanding and in a constructive manner.
