Bishkek, July 15, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz doctors working in Turkey arrived in Bishkek as volunteers, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Today, together with Kyrgyz citizens and humanitarian aid of the Turkish government, a group of 14 compatriots who are working in medical universities and subordinate clinics of Turkey arrived in Kyrgyzstan as medical volunteers.
With the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey, with the relevant ministries of Turkey, the issue of obtaining permission for the departure of these medical workers to Kyrgyzstan was resolved, since in the conditions of a pandemic there is an official ban in Turkey on the export of medicines and the departure of health workers of governmental medical facilities of Turkey.
Kyrgyz businessmen bear expenses for purchase of air tickets for the indicated group of medical workers for the charter flight of Turkish Airlines and accommodation in Kyrgyzstan.
It is planned that a group of Kyrgyz doctors will be determined to work in one of the specific hospitals of the republic.
Taking into account the knowledge of the Turkish language and medical equipment, as well as the willingness of the Ministry of Health of Turkey to provide consultancy assistance to Kyrgyzstan and organize online COVID-19 advanced training courses, the Kyrgyz Embassy in Turkey recommended sending Kyrgyz volunteers to work with the Kyrgyz medical staff with subsequent distribution experience in all regions of the republic.
