Kyrgyz economy minister discusses with Indian ambassador promotion of projects within framework of grant assistance

Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2024 /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniar Amangeldiev met on Monday with Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic Arun Kumar Chatterjee.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to increasing the volume of trade turnover and expanding trade and economic ties.

During the meeting, a Protocol was signed on amendments and additions to the memorandum of understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Indian government on grant assistance from India.

This protocol will help promote joint projects through grant assistance from India aimed at the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is planned that grant projects will be aimed at areas such as education, healthcare, digitalization and agriculture.

The Indian side highly appreciated the level of bilateral relations and expressed readiness to implement joint projects in Kyrgyzstan in relevant areas.

The parties also expressed their intention to strengthen interaction and continue close cooperation.
