Kyrgyz economy minister meets with minister of energy of Pakistan

Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2023. / Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev met today in Bishkek with Minister of Energy of Pakistan Muhammad Ali.

According to the ministry’s press service, the sides discussed issues and prospects for cooperation and noted the growing trend in mutual trade between the two countries.

Taking into account the significant hydropower potential of Kyrgyzstan, Amangeldiev expressed interest in cooperation with the Pakistani side in the promotion and implementation of the regional CASA-1000 project, in the development of the renewable energy sector, including the construction and modernization of small and large hydroelectric power plants, the report said.

Issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, interaction in the field of healthcare, pharmaceuticals and education were also discussed at the meeting.
