Kyrgyz Education Ministry and Medical Commission of Pakistan to sign memorandum of cooperation

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2021. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan and the Medical Commission from Pakistan will consider the possibility of signing a memorandum of cooperation, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuyaev met today with President of the Pakistani medical commission, Dr. Arshad Taqi.

Totuyaev informed the Pakistani side about the current internal political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, about measures to improve the quality of higher medical education taken by the government and the introduction of a temporary moratorium on the issuance of licenses for higher medical education programs.

It was also proposed to consider the possibility of signing a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Pakistani Medical Commission in order to further develop bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education, exchange experience and improve the quality of education in medical specialties.

Dr. Arshad Taki expressed interest in establishing direct contacts and cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and in signing a memorandum of cooperation.

The sides agreed to continue negotiations on topical issues of bilateral Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation in the field of higher medical education and on the recognition by the Pakistani medical commission of a number of medical universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
