Kyrgyz Embassy in Belgium takes part in business seminar

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. A seminar was held in Brussels on “Doing Business in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan” on February 22, 2019 within preparation for a large business mission of Belgian companies in Kyrgyzstan in June of this year.

The event was held on the basis of the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) with the participation of the heads of diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the business community of Wallonia and Flanders of the Kingdom of Belgium, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Embassy staff spoke about the economic potential and business climate of the Kyrgyz Republic. The seminar participants were informed about the achievements of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in improving the investment climate and attractive sectors of the country for investment. Particular emphasis was placed on the benefits of doing business in Kyrgyzstan, the presence of a visa-free regime for Belgian citizens, as well as taking into account new opportunities to increase and diversify their exports to EU markets, in connection with the GSP+ status granted to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Commercial Representative of the Embassy of Belgium in the Kyrgyz Republic with residence in Almaty Alieva spoke in detail about the specifics of doing business in Kyrgyzstan. The presentation by the Belgian side highlighted such key aspects as the liberal policy pursued by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the untapped potential of trade and economic cooperation, and the prospects of the Kyrgyz market.

Such a format of the joint event allowed foreign investors and potential business partners to demonstrate the economic opportunities and investment attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan.
