Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2024. / Kabar /. The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Türkiye, in collaboration with the Association of Kyrgyz Students in Ankara, organized an art event dedicated to International Mountain Day. This day was established by a resolution from the UN General Assembly at the initiative of the Kyrgyz Republic and is celebrated annually on December 11, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
As part of the event focused on highlighting the significance of sustainable development in mountain regions, participants collaborated with Turkish and Azerbaijani artists to hold a painting session centered on mountain themes.
Students from Kyrgyzstan successfully captured the deep and symbolic significance of mountains as an essential element of the life, culture, and history of the Kyrgyz people in their works.
The authors' paintings instilled a sense of pride in Kyrgyzstan, urging the preservation of its extraordinary natural beauty for future generations.
During the event, the Embassy introduced the participants to the initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at the sustainable development of mountain regions. They also informed about the results of the participation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N.Zhaparov at the Summit of World Leaders held during the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku.
