Bishkek, Feb. 1, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev held a meeting with ChineseAmbassador Du Dewen.
The main purpose of the meeting was to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector. During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Chinese companies, steps to implement projects and preparations for the start of work were discussed. The parties also discussed the development of green energy, attracting investments and accelerating the construction of solar and wind power plants.
First of all, Ibraev gave information about the potential of the electric power industry in Kyrgyzstan, cooperation with investors on large projects, and simplification of state laws for investors.
At the same time, the minister named some Chinese companies that work together in the energy sector of the two countries, and emphasized that he is always ready to cooperate with them and develop the energy sector.
The Chinese ambassador emphasized the friendship between the two countries and said that cooperation needs to be further deepened. The ambassador said that some of the most prominent Chinese energy companies are interested in building hydroelectric power plants and solar-wind power plants and will continue to help attract them to Kyrgyzstan as investors.
At the end of the meeting, Ibraev, on behalf of the Ministry of Energy, presented Ambassador Du Dewen with the "Kaarman" badge, the assistant to the Ambassador Wang Zenan and the head of the consular department of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China Hu Zhongruei with a Certificate of Honor for their contribution to cooperation in the energy sector.
