Kyrgyz energy minister promises that situation with power outages across country would not recur

Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2022 . / Kabar /. Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev promised that a situation with power outages will not happen again. He wrote about it on his Facebook page.

The minister wrote that he attended a meeting of the Kyrgyz Parliament and answered questions of deputies about the domestic energy sector. The main topic of discussion was an out-of-state situation.

"I am always open and ready to provide the competent authorities with full information about the energy industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. I would like to note that now all power facilities of our country are working in normal mode. Special commissions are investigating the causes of what happened. This is the first time such a situation has arisen. We will conduct an in-depth analysis and take all measures to ensure that it does not happen again," said Doskul Bekmurzaev.

On Jan. 25 afternoon there was a power blackout in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan told Kabar News Agency that the accident occurred in one of the countries of the United Energy System of Central Asia.
