Kyrgyz energy sector is developing: many joint projects ahead - Kazakh minister

Bishkek, Dec.23, 2024. /Kabar/. Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Sungat Yesimkhanov congratulated Kyrgyz energy workers on the 90th anniversary and noted that, as everyone knows, the peculiarity of the Kyrgyz energy sector is the generation of water and energy resources.

“It is developing every year. We have a lot of joint work ahead of us. For the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP, neighboring countries united and signed a memorandum.

We are currently cooperating in the international direction. I am confident that in the near future we will realize a large-scale project. This will be a contribution not only to the development of energy in Kyrgyzstan, but also to the development of energy in the entire Central Asian region,” Yesimkhanov said.

The vice minister also emphasized that it is a great responsibility not only to work together in the energy sector, but also to address issues related to water resources.
