Bishkek, July 19, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz farmers were given more than 6 thousand tons of seeds from Russia, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Agriculture Askarbek Dzhanybekov told during a press conference in Bishkek.
In order to provide seeds to agricultural entities, KGS 1.5 billion were allocated from the national budget.
The minister explained that these funds are being used to supply seeds of wheat of highest reproductions, barley, oilseed, sainfoin from the Russian Federation at the rate of 15 thousand tons. Currently, 6 thousand 100 tons of seeds have been delivered and allocated to farmers.
In addition, 1 thousand tons of wheat seeds from Kazakhstan were delivered and distributed as humanitarian aid.
KGS 975.3 million were provided from the national budget for purchase of mineral fertilizers.
Thus, 4 thousand 977 tons of fertilizers were delivered from Uzbekistan, the remaining 15 tons will be delivered in the coming days.
