Kyrgyzstan plans to attract funding in amount of over USD 506 mln

For budget support it is planned to attract financial resources in the form of grants and credits at the lowest possible interest rates and for the longest terms in the amount of $ 506.4 million, Deputy Finance Minister of Kyrgyzstan Abdybaly tegin Suierkul told at a news briefing.

According to him, $69.6 million is a grant and $436.8 million - a credit, of which $319.2 million has already been received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

"Within the IMF, Kyrgyzstan has attracted two tranches totaling $241.95 million. The first tranche in the amount of $120.85 million was received on March 31, 2020, and the second tranche in the amount of $121.1 million - on May 13, 2020.

"Funds from ADB funds in the amount of $50 million, including $25 million as a grant and $25 million a credit, obtained on June 10, 2020," said the deputy finance minister.

The budget support in the amount of $187.2 million is expected to be attracted by the end of the year, in particular:

- $100 million loan from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development;

- $80.6 million from ADB, of which $10.7 million is a grant and $69.9 million - a credit;

- $6.6 million from the European Union.
