Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's GDP is forecast to decline by 5.3% in 2020, Finance Minister of the country Kyyalbek Mukashev said at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) which is considering a new draft budget for 2020.
He noted that inflation will increase by 7.5%.
"The reason for this is the dependence on imported goods, the volatility of the financial market, seasonal changes in groceries’ prices," he said.
Mukashev added budget revenues make KGS 137.1 billion, which is KGS 1.8 billion more than the revised version adopted in June.
Budget expenditures are KGS 107.7 billion, KGS 9.7 billion more than the June revised version.
The budget deficit is KGS 35.6 billion.
