Kyrgyz FM Aidarbekov on outcomes of talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi

Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov told about the results of negotiations with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi who arrived on Sunday in Bishkek for an official visit.

During a briefing, he noted that the parties discussed a wide range of issues, including promising projects in the field of economy, infrastructure, draft road maps.

"The sides have started to discuss and work through the issues. We have noted the positive dynamics of previously reached agreements, in particular, grant and credit agreements. Despite all the difficulties due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Chinese specialists are working here. Today these documents are being implemented dynamically," he said.

The Kyrgyz foreign minister expressed hope that the trade turnover between the countries will increase. He stated that due to the pandemic, trade has slowed down. Aidarbekov also added that Kyrgyzstan counts on inflow of direct investments.
