Kyrgyz FM and ambassador of Japan discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Ambassador of Japan Hideki Goda.

During the meeting, the minister highly appreciated the official visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan in November 2023 and thanked the Japanese side for the high organization.

In this regard, he emphasized the importance of implementing agreements following the visit, including measures to enhance the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan.

The Japanese side noted the importance of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue platform, and therefore informed about the visit of the special representative of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the countries of Central Asia to strengthen Japan’s cooperation with the countries of the region.

The parties also discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation on topical issues.
