Bishkek, May 20, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Diplomatic Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Barkat Fazal.
The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Aga Khan Development Organization. In particular, improving the lives of residents of the mountainous regions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the importance of expanding cooperation for the conservation of mountain ecosystems.
Minister Kulubaev said that Kyrgyzstan pays special attention to climate and ecology issues and counts on international support in solving these priority tasks for the country.
Kulubaev noted that the activities of the University of Central Asia provide ample opportunities for our youth to receive a quality education.
Taking the opportunity, Kulubaev expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided to ethnic Kyrgyz in the Greater Pamir in Afghanistan, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation on this issue.
The AKDN representative confirmed his readiness to continue the implementation of projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to expand cooperation on the issues identified by the minister of foreign affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
