Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov held a meeting with Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Vazil Hudak in Luxembourg on December 11, 2018, within his visit to attend the 16th meeting of Kyrgyzstan-EU Cooperation Council, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EIB, in particular, on the progress of the CASA-1000 project and the completion of domestic procedures on two Agreements: on the project on financing agricultural supply chains and on water management and solid waste disposal.
The Minister, highly appreciating the GSP+ status obtained by Kyrgyzstan and its positive impact on increasing the volume of export products to EU countries, requested to consider the possibility of the European Investment Bank assisting in the creation of modern laboratories for the certification of domestic products that meet international standards.
The sides noted the importance of coordination of efforts and organization of the visit of the EIB delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic scheduled for 2019, during which it is planned to discuss the new and current projects that are being developed.
