Bishkek, April 24 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev met with European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to hold bilateral consultations with Kyrgyz officials, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, implementation of agreements reached after the visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev to the EU institutions on February 15-17, 2017.
Particular attention was paid to the forthcoming high-level dialogue on policy and security issues in the EU-CA, as well as the priority areas for cooperation between the CD and the EU in the regional format in the context of the EU Strategy for Central Asia.
