Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev had a telephone conversation with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau, as well as OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
The Kyrgyz side provided up-to-date information on the current state of affairs and emphasized the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to de-escalation and an unchanged position to resolve the situation exclusively through political and diplomatic means.
For their part, the OSCE representatives, noting the deep concern of the incoming news, called to prevent the aggravation of the conflict and to resolve it in a peaceful way. At the same time, they welcomed the efforts of the parties to establish a constructive dialogue and called for respect for the previously reached ceasefire agreements.
