Bishkek, March 12, 2022. / Kabar /. On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, on the eve of the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusrav Noziri.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further cooperation within the Organization to achieve sustainable development and economic prosperity of the member states and the region as a whole.
In this context, the sides noted the need to revitalize the activities of the Organization and maximize the use of available resources.
Referring to projects in the field of transport, tourism and the environment, and taking into account the economic interconnectedness of the Member States, Kazakbaev stressed the importance of taking effective measures to minimize and possibly level the negative consequences of sanctions in the Member States of the Organization in connection with the situation in Ukraine. Secretary General Noziri welcomed the initiative of the Kyrgyz side and noted the possibility of conducting an analysis of the situation to determine further steps.
The sides also discussed the calendar plan of events of the Organization and the possibility of expanding the legal framework.
