BISHKEK, Aug. 24, 2017. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldayev met on Wednesday with Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations, Deputy Administrator of UNDP, Head of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia Cihan Sultanoglu, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate the International Snow Leopard & Ecosystem Forum.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reports that, during the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with UNDP, including the results of the recent visit of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterrish to Kyrgyzstan.
Also, the UNDP representative was informed on the current political, economic and social situation of the country, as well as on the ongoing reforms in these areas, including the implementation of the national high-tech Taza Koom project.
The sides also exchanged views on certain issues related to the ongoing work in the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the promising areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UNDP.
