Kyrgyz FM and vice president of Eximbank of Korea discuss implementation of projects in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 25, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Korea in Seoul, met with Vice President of the Eximbank of Korea Pak Jong Kyu.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the promotion and implementation of priority projects in the field of healthcare, agriculture, water supply and transport infrastructure, including:

1) Improvement of water supply and sanitation in rural areas;

2) Road construction machinery and equipment for the Ministry of Transport and Communications;

3) Construction of a new building of the National Hospital and provision of medical equipment.

Kulubaev noted that the strengthening and development of cooperation with the Eximbank of Korea is one of the priority areas of cooperation with the Republic of Korea.

Particular attention was paid to the project "Functional improvement of the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital". The head of the Foreign Ministry stressed that this project is important for Kyrgyzstan and is aimed at expanding the existing infectious diseases hospital, equipping it with modern medical equipment while simultaneously training medical personnel in its use, and improving the quality of medical services provided.

The parties agreed to make every effort to launch this project as soon as possible.

Pak Jong Kyu, in turn, stressed the Korean side's interest in promoting and implementing projects through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) and noted its readiness to assist in promoting projects, including the infectious diseases hospital project.
