Kyrgyz FM discusses issues of cooperation with JICA vice president

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Junichi Yamada as part of the 9th Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan".

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and JICA within the framework of social and economic projects being implemented in Kyrgyzstan.

The parties discussed the implementation of ongoing projects in priority areas: digitalization, green economy, environment, agriculture, healthcare, social security and security.

Kulubaev highly appreciated the activities of JICA, which is implementing important projects for the sustainable economic growth of Kyrgyzstan. As concrete successful examples, he noted projects for the development of transport infrastructure, as well as the development of social infrastructure - equipping hospitals and schools, providing equipment to polling stations, the project "One village - one product"

The vice president of JICA, in turn, informed about the activities of the Agency in the Kyrgyz Republic. He expressed gratitude for mutually beneficial cooperation and highly appreciated the effective interaction with the Kyrgyz side.

At the end of the meeting, Kulubaev invited his interlocutor to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
