Kyrgyz FM holds meeting with heads of embassies of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 5, 2022. / Kabar /. MInister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held a regular meeting with the heads of the embassies, consulates general, permanent missions of the Kyrgyz Republic to international organizations in the format of the videoconferencing with the participation of the heads of structural divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the minister summed up the activities of the foreign missions of the Kyrgyz Republic for the first quarter of 2022 with an emphasis on economic diplomacy.

Kazakbaev called on all the heads of foreign missions of the Kyrgyz Republic to active, proactive activities in the field of economic diplomacy and the qualitative implementation of the work plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the press service said.

He also drew attention to the need to continue work on the creation of investment and development funds with Turkmenistan, the KSA, the UAE, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Italy and the Organization of the Turkic States Fund, as one of the primary tasks of the heads of foreign missions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting participants also discussed topical issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Ukraine and Afghanistan. The issues of the impact of sanctions on the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and ways to minimize the negative consequences on the country and on our compatriots abroad were especially considered. The possibilities of diversifying the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, increasing the volume of export products, the problems of ensuring food and energy security, and border peacebuilding were discussed in detail, the Foreign Ministry noted.
