Kyrgyz FM holds talks with leadership of a number of Japanese companies

Bishkek, April 3 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev during his visit to Japan held talks with the leadership of Shimizu Corporation, Tokyo Rope MFG Co., Ltd and Nippon Signal Co". Ltd, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Executive Vice President of Shimizu Corporation Tadashi Okamoto familiarized with the 200 years experience gained since the company was founded and the main activities at present: planning and construction (including road junctions), development and financing projects, maintenance of buildings, reconstruction of social facilities, engineering, research and development.

The experience and the most advanced technological developments of the company in the field of protecting buildings and structures from earthquakes caused a great interest of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Minister Abdyldaev urged the company to share its rich experience and developments and implement projects in Kyrgyzstan. It should be noted that this company took part in the 1st Kyrgyz-Japanese Forum on Quality Infrastructure, held on October 5, 2016 in Bishkek. Shimizu Corporation intends to participate in April 2017 in a seminar in Kyrgyzstan to discuss promising projects that can be implemented in our country in constructing road junctions in Bishkek.

At a meeting with Shigeto Tanaka, Chairman of the Tokyo Rope MFG Co., Ltd. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Abdildayev emphasized the high level and practical nature of the talks held on March 3-4, 2017 during the visit of the interlocutor to the Kyrgyz Republic. "We are interested in entering Tokyo Rope in Kyrgyz marker as an investor. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan and other state bodies will provide maximum assistance to your company," Abdyldaev said.

For his part, Chairman Sh. Tanaka, spoke about the plans of Tokyo Rope to open an engineering and construction company in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic with the involvement of local highly qualified specialists, as well as the intention to open subsequent production facilities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Chairman of Nippon Signal Ehhei Furuhata told about main activities of the company which are development, production and installation of alarm systems for railways, automated collection of payments, collection and analysis of information on road traffic and the development of information systems for road safety. "The wide international experience of the company allows us to count on successful work in our country," Minister Abdyldaev said. It should be noted that the company took part in the 1st Bishkek Kyrgyz-Japanese forum on quality infrastructure on October 5, 2016. Upon the return of the company's representatives to Japan, the company developed a project proposal for test installation of traffic control systems at the most critical intersections in Bishkek, as well as on railway traffic management and automated payment collection system at railway stations.

The Minister stressed the importance of the seminar planned in the second half of April 2017 in Bishkek and invited them to take part in the seminar together with the delegation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.
