Bishkek, July 12, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev left an entry in the book of condolences in memory of Shinzo Abe.
Minister Kulubaev visited the Embassy of Japan in Kyrgyzstan and honored the memory of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe by leaving an entry in the book of condolences, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
"The bright memory of him as a politician, diplomat, open, reliable and benevolent partner will live in our hearts. Shinzo Abe made a great contribution to strengthening friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Japan. This is a great and irreplaceable loss for Kyrgyzstan and Japan. I wish fortitude to the family and friends of Shinzo Abe," the Kyrgyz minister said.
Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyztan Shigeki Maeda thanked Jeenbek Kulubaev for his attention and the visit of the embassy to express condolences.
The funeral of the deceased Shinzo Abe took place today. The ceremony was organized in private at the Zojoji Temple. Only family members and relatives attended. However, hundreds of people came to pay their respects to the politician.
The assassination attempt on Abe occurred around noon on July 8. During his speech in Nara, the former PM of Japan was shot by a 42-year-old Japanese man. Abe was hospitalized by rescue helicopter. Doctors gave him a blood transfusion and fought for his life, but he could not be saved.
