Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2018. / Kabar /. The meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini took place in Brussels.
During the meeting, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aidarbekov on his appointment and expressed readiness to further strengthening the dialogue between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU. The sides discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Soorobay Jeenbekov to the EU institutions on Apr. 11-12, 2018.
The special attention was paid to the ongoing negotiations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU on the draft of the new Agreement on Extended Partnership and Cooperation. The sides also discussed preparations for the meeting of the KR-EU Cooperation Council (Dec. 10, 2018, Brussels)
Aidarbekov and Mogherini also exchanged views on the international agenda.
